Employee Spotlight: Kelly Raines
Get to know one of our amazing Physical Therapists, Kelly!
Why did you become a therapist?
I was in physical therapy for sport injuries in high school and college and I wanted to help someone the way my physical therapist helped me.
What is your favorite part about being a therapist?
I love interacting with so many different kids! Every kid is very different from each other so every day is going to different from the previous day.
Super strength, or ability to fly?
Ability to fly- then I could travel anywhere in the world I want to go.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Travel, Read and Spend time with my daughter.
What is your best advice for parents who are embarking on a journey with therapy for their child?
Be patient and trust in the process. It takes time (more than we would like sometimes) to see the changes that you want to see, but the more your child works on their goals the more progress you will see!
What is your best advice for kids?
Go outside and play every day!
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can play the violin.
What is the best professional and/or therapy advice you have ever received?
Trial and Error. If something doesn’t work it doesn’t mean you give up, you just have to try another approach.
