Fun Thanksgiving Crafts for the Whole Family!
Fall is my favorite time of year! The cooler weather, the beautiful leaves, the smell in the air…so many things to be grateful for! As a mom and an OT, I love to find books, crafts, and other fun activities to go with every season and holiday. Below are some of my favorite crafts for Thanksgiving.
Mod Mayflower

Paper Bag Fall Tree
I love this fall tree from a fine motor standpoint! I also love that you can adapt it and have children make larger leaves and write down names of people or things that they are grateful for and then staple them on. pikadillycharm.blogspot.com
Hand Turkey
This is an oldie, but a goodie. Great for crossing midline and bilateral coordination skills. Have your child trace his or her foot and hand. Your child can trace the same hand multiple times or increase the challenge by tracing his/her dominant hand using his/her non-dominant hand. To work on strengthening, simply trace only one hand and stack several papers together so your child is cutting out multiple “feathers” at one time. You could also do a similar activity by having your child paint (or you could paint) his/her foot and hands and press them onto paper.
