We have amazing therapists at LLA and want to showcase them to you! This week, meet Alexa Bachmann!
Alexa is a Physical Therapist who has been with LLA for two years. She serves clients in our Hudson office as well Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities Happy Day School and Early Intervention Program. She became a Physical Therapist after suffering a sports injury in high school and learning she wanted to work with adolescents with sports injuries. However, after a pediatric clinical rotation during school, she knew she wanted to work with pediatrics! Her favorite part of being a Physical Therapist is having the privilege of treating children long term and building relationships with them and their family.
Let’s get to know Alexa better!
Describe your role at LLA:
” I am lucky to get to serve many different ages at LLA. I work at Portage County Board of DD doing both their school aged treatment and treating their early intervention. Early Intervention is generally home based and I see kids from 0-3. I also work at the Hudson clinic and get to see kids in an outpatient setting, which I also really enjoy.”

“I really enjoy working with infants and toddlers and helping them meet their gross motor milestones.”

“The whole Harry Potter series!”
What do you do in your free time?
“In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, family, my boyfriend and dogs, reading and cheering on Cleveland sport teams. I recently just bought a house and have been spending a lot of time decorating and putting my own touch on it.”
What is your best advice for parents who are embarking on a journey with therapy with their kiddo?
” I think that my best advice for a parent embarking on a therapy journey is that they are the expert on their kid and to be an advocate for them.”
