LLA Spotlight: Jessica Bendele
We have amazing therapists at LLA and want to showcase them to you! This week, meet Jessica Bendele!
Jessica is a Physical Therapist who has been with LLA since January 2021. She serves clients at our new Mentor office! She became a therapist after observing a PT working with a child she babysat for who had Downs Syndrome and after having been thru physical therapy herself to recover from a broken elbow. One of her favorite things about being a therapist is literally getting to play and have fun with the kiddos every day! She loves being able to come up with fun activities and games! She also loves seeing the look on a child’s face when they achieve a skill they they have never been able to do before (especially jumping!).
Let’s get to know Jessica better!
What is your therapy passion?
Making kids as independent in their mobility as possible- whether that is rolling, crawling, walking, running, jumping or being able to propel themselves in a wheelchair-I just want kids to be able to get anywhere they want to be! I also love helping babies achieve milestones!
What is your best advice for parents who are embarking on a journey with therapy with their kiddo?
Take a deep breath-it may take some time but we will get there! Make home exercises fun and do it with them as you are their biggest supporter! And parents-you know your child the best and are their biggest advocate, don’t be afraid to speak up when you think something is working or you have questions!
What is your favorite team?
The Ohio State Buckeyes! (Proud Alum!)
Are you an Early Riser or Night Owl??

What is your Favorite Inspirational Quote?

What do you like to do in your free time?

What is the best therapy advice you have ever received?
“Everyone is a snowflake” meaning each patient will present differently and react differently to various interventions as everyone is an individual!

What is your favorite pizza topping?
Mushrooms
