Understanding the Jon Peterson and Autism Scholarship Programs
At LLA Therapy, we know that navigating funding and services for your child can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’re committed to helping families understand and access Ohio’s scholarship programs that make therapy services more affordable and accessible.
LLA Therapy is a pediatric therapy practice with five clinics across the region. We provide speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, music therapy, reading therapy, and ABA therapy for children ages 3–21.
We proudly accept both of Ohio’s scholarship programs:
- Jon Peterson Scholarship (JPS)
- Ohio Autism Scholarship (AS)
What’s the Difference?
Jon Peterson Scholarship
The Jon Peterson Scholarship is available for any student who has an IEP (Individualized Education Program), regardless of disability category.
- Who qualifies: Any student with an IEP (any disability)
- Ages: 3–21
- Annual funding: $9,585–$32,445
- Income requirement: None
- Availability: Capped at 5% of special needs students statewide
Ohio Autism Scholarship
The Autism Scholarship is designed specifically for students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder who also have an IEP.
- Who qualifies: Students identified with ASD and an IEP
- Ages: 3–21
- Annual funding: Up to $27,000–$32,455
- Income requirement: None
- Availability: All qualifying applicants receive funding

Both scholarship programs can be used toward a variety of services at LLA Therapy, including:
- Speech-Language Therapy (SLP)
- Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Physical Therapy (PT)
- Music Therapy
- Reading Therapy
- ABA Therapy
